There's a certain smell that hits you when you walk into Twin's Pizza. It's not the corporate sterility of a chain, or the overly curated nostalgia of a trendy "throwback" joint. It's honest: a mix of bubbling sauce and mozzarella, decades of incredible meals seared into the walls, and the faint scent of wood paneling and vertical blinds that haven't moved since the 1970s. The place doesn't try to impress you--it just is. In a world where every restaurant seems to be vying for Instagram likes or Michelin stars, Twin's Pizza stands defiantly still, like a monument to simpler times. The dining room could double as the set of Mad Men if Don Draper ever felt like closing on negotiation with Lucky Strike or Hilton over a square pie. The jukeboxes tucked into the booths, the golden cone light fixtures overhead, and the mismatched salt-and-pepper shakers all whisper the same thing: we're not here to be trendy--we're here to feed you. But let's talk about the pizza. Twin's isn't chasing Naples, New York, or even Chicago. This is Rhode Island pizza: unapologetically square, crispy-edged, and layered with intention. The sauce is the soul of the pie--bright, bold, and entirely its own. It's a perfect harmony of ripe tomatoes and herbs, balanced between sweetness and tang. No gimmicks, no pretension. Just sauce that tastes like someone's Nonna perfected it and passed it down through the decades. The crust is a masterpiece in its own right. Somewhere between Sicilian and grandma-style, it's sturdy enough to hold the toppings but never steals the spotlight. It's crisp at the edges, airy in the middle, and just charred enough to remind you why you went with "medium well." Then there's the cheese: melty, golden, and playing second fiddle in the best way possible. The pepperoni is blistered and curling at the edges, leaving just enough grease to make you feel like a kid again. Twin's doesn't rush, and neither should you. This isn't fast food; it's pizza that insists you slow down and savor it. Even the parking lot demands patience on a Saturday night, a challenge your parents probably faced when they were dating. Some things, thankfully, never change. ProTips: 1. Order it like a steak: Go medium well or well for the perfect amount of char. 2. Size matters: Always get the large. It's two glorious sheets of pizza perfection, and leftovers only mean you get to relive the experience tomorrow. 3. Customize smartly: Half-and-half toppings are the way to go, so you can sample a little of everything. 4. A "little"extra sauce is usually the way to go here. If you ask for "extra sauce" it will likely be too sloppy for your liking, even if you are a sauce fiend like me. J Twin's doesn't want your Instagram post or your five-star Yelp review. It doesn't care about reinvention or chasing trends. It's here for one thing: to remind you that some places don't need to change to be legendary. This is pizza the way it's meant to be--timeless, confident, and so good you'll be dreaming about it long after that last bite.
Came here with#rifoodfights #bestpizza. Pizza is always good. Good service. One of the better crunchy crusts around.
According to a 9 year old: 5 out of 5 stars , "just because the pizza is so good and they have real crayola crayons". If you are looking for great pizza , old school atmosphere from 1970's Rhode Island , or you're a Marine Corps Veteran who loves Crayola crayons, yhis place has what you want and you can't go wrong !
If you ever been to Twins you know! When you order pizza take out you will have at least an hour wait! Always worth it. But I eat in a lot at the bar in the back . I look at menu but I always get the twins super platter( love it ) and the soup of the day! (Fresh and homemade) You have plenty of food for a couple of meals! You don't go for the ambiance, it's like you are transported back to 70's pizza place, pretty sure it hasn't changed much since then. The food is amazing, their prices can't be beat and the staff is so nice you feel like family. Come on by I will be at the bar!
Couldn't bring myself to cook tonight so opted to order out. Haven't had Twins in over a year so opted to call in a Meatball and Pepperoni well done. Glad I called early since I was told it would be 45 minutes (Such is the case during 'peak' hours) but I live close by so it's still insanely convenient. Finished product was outstanding. Huge meatball slices placed on top of the 'roni and the crust as well as underside were evenly cooked and had just the right amount of crunch. Enjoyed 3 hearty slices before ultimately calling it quits and will stick the box in fridge to revisit tomorrow night when I'll reheat a couple of slices in the toaster oven .
I came to Twin's Pizza on Pizza Week to try one of their two specials. I elected to get their Garlic Shrimp Pizza since I am a seafood lover! To be honest, I didn't have the highest expectation of the shrimp pizza being good because shrimp is often overcooked in many different restaurants that I've been to. To my surprise, the shrimp was cooked absolutely perfect. This pizza also had red peppers, artichoke, and fresh parsley. All the ingredients married each other perfectly, and my favorite part was actually the crust. The crust is light, crispy, and airy. I can clearly see why there were so many people at this restaurant as they ROCK! I didn't dine in, but from what I could tell - the staff were attentive, efficient, and polite. Give them a try if you're in Pawtucket/North Providence border, great pizza!! -ODL Connect with me! IG & YouTube: @AOEAT
After seeing their pizza special listed on the goProvidence Pizza Week website, we decided to try their pizzas. From the two pizzas we sampled, the Garlic Shrimp pizza won for flavor, and everything else for that matter, as it was just spectacular!! The Fig & Prosciutto pizza was also good, as it mixed both sweet and savory. And it was nice to see the family come help run the kitchen as the restaurant filled with customers. The service was also great.
